Course Unit Description
This course is designed to provide learners with a comprehension of the diversity of living organisms of kingdoms monera, protoctista, fungi, plantae and animalia and their importance in nature. Morphological, physiological, ecological, anatomical and behavioral features will be used. Biological principles of classification, identification, observation, manipulation and environmental conservation will be emphasized.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course students will be able to:
- Classify living organisms to the lowest level possible
- Explain the importance of living organisms in nature
- Apply the principles of ecology
