Course Unit Description
This course is designed for a teacher trainee to help impart education to pupils with different learning styles/abilities, and improve the quality of teaching and the way learning takes place for deeper understating of subject matter.
Course objectives
The course is intended to:
- help teacher trainees to select appropriate methods, strategies and approaches for teaching pupils
- enable teachers put into operation effective teaching strategies
- analyze the advantages and disadvantages of using different approaches, methods, and styles of teaching pupils
- apply innovative methodologies in teaching
- incorporate technology into the teaching methods to create a rich learning experience for pupils.
Expected outcomes
By the end of the course students should be able to:
- promote innovations in teaching by incorporating technology in teaching
- appropriately programme teaching to enhance the acquisition of knowledge and skills needed by pupils for the future living
- competently demonstrate the ability to use different methods, approaches and strategies for teaching pupils
- organize the teaching which ensures that no child is left behind
