Course Unit Description
This course covers agricultural mechanics, soil and water engineering, farm structures, farm implements and farm engines.
Course Objectives
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
- See appropriate agricultural tools, equipment, machines and structures made from different engineering materials.
- Utilize the different sources of energy for farm use.
- Carry out proper maintenance of common farm machines, equipment and tools.
- Demonstrate and understanding of the causes of soil and water loss during farming
- Use or construct simple soil and water conservation structures on a farm
- Demonstrate the need for soil irrigation and damage.
