AGR1207 School field placement

This is practical field work which offers students opportunity to put into practice knowledge acquired in first year of study. The students are attached to a selected rural community. Students will undertake a familiarization visit to the community, interact with the members and agree with them on aspects of their lives which the agricultural systems and how it can be improve. The course requires that students work with farmer group institutions such farmer field schools (FFS) on an identified project to prepare a programme plan, select appropriate learning experiences to address the needs and evaluate the programme after completion. This takes about 2 months.
