Course Unit Description
Drugs form a significant component in disease management in farm set ups. This course will expose students to the use of drugs in the management of diseases of farm animals.
Course Objectives
- To train the students on the basic principles of chemotherapy
- To train the students on the general principles governing the use of important classes of animal drugs
- To train students on therapeutic principles of disease management
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, learners should be able to:
- Know the adverse effects of drugs and their interactions
- Appreciate the legal obligations of persons who handle drugs
- Handle and use drugs in the management of diseases of farm animals
