APM 3201 Biogas Technology & Alternative Farm Energy System

This course introduces students to important aspects of sustainable utilization of nutrients, draught animal technology and other renewable sources of farm energy.

Course Objectives

• To equip students with knowledge and skills in biogas technology.
• To impart knowledge on solar energy technology
• To train student on draught animal technology

Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, learners should be able to:

• Describe the various fermentation processes that lead to biogas production.
• Set up a biogas plant and manage it.
• Discuss operations of solar and other renewable energy systems
• Explain the needs, behavior health and management practices of draught animals
• Train draught animals for different work requirements
