The history of Ivanovo State Polytechnic University began in 2012 with combining the accumulated experience and traditions of the two Universities - IGASU and IGTA. Their total age is over a century and a half. Being the youngest University in the Ivanovo region ISPU continues nevertheless traditions of Ivanovo-Voznesensk Polytechnic Institute created in 1918 on the initiative of M.V. Frunze.
