PHY3201 PHYSICS PROJECT
Course Unit Title
PHY3201 PHYSICS PROJECT
Course Unit Description
This course is offered to final year undergraduate physics students. It entails independent investigation of theoretical or experimental concepts of physics. The nature and scope of the project are determined by the student in consultation with the supervisor. Normally this project starts with a proposal writing, which is often presented in a departmental seminar. This phase of the project is assessed by all the supervisors available and constitutes 30% of the project mark. The final phase is the project report, normally examined by supervisors and constitutes 70% of the project mark. The overall project mark is the sum of the marks obtained in the two phases
