Course Unit Description
This course will provide a thorough grounding in the main features of the criminal law system and the nature of criminal liability. The course will equip students with skills to identify criminal law and apply it to factual scenarios.
Course Objectives
This course will enable students;
- To explain basic criminal law principles
- To provide to the students the skills to analyze the aspects of offences as provided for in the constitution, the penal code and other statutes.
Learning Outcomes
- By the end of this course, students should be able to explain the fundamental principles of criminal law, the aspects of the offences provided for in the Computer Misuse Act and defenses available to the accused person during trial processes.
