Course Unit Description

A survey of fundamental concepts and theories in human Geography. Examination of recent trends in the study of human Geography. Methodology and techniques in the study of human Geography. Theories, hypothesis, models, laws, systems, regionalization and classification. A study of spatial organization of society interaction, bases of spatial interaction, distance factor in the understanding of spatial interaction. Analysis of movement and movement patterns; flows diffusion processes, transport network, spatial linkages, mobility and migrations. Location theory of human activities, industrial location, theory and agricultural location theory. Decision-making, processes, behavioral processes a perceptual; processes.

  • To study the concepts and theories in human Geography
  • To explore methods and techniques which are applied in the study and understanding of phenomena in human Geography 
  • To analyze spatial organization of society in relation to location and distribution of human activities 
  • To examine trends in the development of modern human Geography
