Course Unit Description
This course introduces students to aspects of animal conformation, body parts as related to function and production. The essence of this is for the student to appreciate the other more sophisticated aspects of animal production.
Course Objectives
- To equip the students with knowledge on organ systems of farm animals and relate the anatomical structure of organs to their functions.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, learners should be able to:
- Name the different body systems of farm animals
- Identify the functions of different anatomical features of farm animals
- Describe the different structural variations among species and relate them to the differences in farm animals
