The Directorate of Institutional Advancement is responsible for the overall management of Busitema University’s strategic marketing, advertising and branding; managing BU’s official communications channels; keeping in contact with our alumni; and raising funds. We communicate BU’s research to the public through the media and social media, and we are responsible for all the official, corporate events hosted by BU.
The office provides strategic communications, public relations, and digital media services for the University and its key stakeholders.
It is responsible for media relations and is the principal contact for all communication between the University and media representatives. The Office also generates media coverage by placing news features at the local to national level, and distributes key news items to internal and external constituencies.
We lead the charge for the university’s institutional branding and social media presences and develop integrated marketing campaigns based upon institutional priorities
The Marketing and Branding office serves Busitema University by providing resources and guidance to help ensure that the institution’s marketing and communication initiatives are aligned with the University brand and identity. Maintaining consistency in messaging and design across the University reinforces the BU brand overall.
All communications from the Busitema University are reflections of the institution. The logos, colour, typefaces, treatment of photos and texts all project attributes of BU.
We shape and create strategic and compelling brand-aligned communications for a range of high-visibility efforts.
The Alumni Relations Office works to foster a continuing relationship between the university and its former students. Alumni are the heart of everything we do and we are grateful for those who offer their time, talent and funding to the University.
We work to keep alumni connected and engaged with one another, current students, faculty, and staff through educational, charitable, social, and cultural programs.
We appreciate your interest and invite you to take part in the life of your alma mater, whether you graduated from Busitema University or our predecessor institutions, National Agricultural College, Busitema, National Teachers College, Nagongera and Arapai Agricultural College.
The International Relations Office was established in response to a new strategy which places international relations high on the University’s list of priorities. This strategy recognizes that internationalization stretches across all the different university portfolios with the objective of developing an internationalization culture and institutional capacity through the transfer of know-how and good practice.
Strong international relations greatly assist the innovative reach of BU and enable it to formulate meaningful research and exchange partnerships that provide access to resources and knowledge from the best institutions the world over.
The office currently oversees and manages agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) and constantly seeks new international connections and partnerships.
The Donations and Partnership office works in collaboration with the community throughout the University to build enduring relationships with external constituencies to secure and increased financial support towards strategic and flagship projects.
We foster relationships with the community and business to promote long-term strategic funding partnerships, which will assist us in improving the quality of education. The office facilitates and encourages financial support to bolster the University’s capacity to fulfil its mission of teaching and learning, research and community engagement.
