Human Resource
The Human Resource Office was given its mandate by the Government of Uganda, which on May 25th, 2007, opened Busitema University as a public university under the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act, 2001, as amended, which was passed by Parliament on May 10th, 2007. The university was founded using the Jinja–Tororo highway's Bustema location as a multi-campus model. The campuses that comprise it are the non-operational ones at Busitema, Nagongera, Namsagali, Arapai, Mbale, Palisa, and Kaliro. The Busitema University Council gave its approval on June 17, 2021. Numerous employees of the Human Resource Office, which is housed in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Main Campus, ensure that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
The University's most valuable asset is properly used with the help of the Human Resource Office's systematic planning. Additionally, the Office can maintain a pool of human resources that matches the plan and needs of the University, as well as recruit the most qualified applicants for open positions. In addition to making sure the university has a solid and dependable human resource information system, the human resource officer provides professional and administrative support for hiring, selecting, and assigning employees.
