From July 1st to 6th, 2024, Kabale University in Uganda will host the first-ever African Women Algebra Workshop. This event will aim to addressing the gender gap in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), specifically focusing on challenges faced by African women in Academia.The workshop will gather participants ready to support and engage in discussion.With a specific emphasis on Algebra, the workshop will address the hindrances caused by strict research publication requirements, particularly for women balancing family and work responsibilities. The Scientific Advisory Board, featuring globally famous scholars, will emphasize the commitment of empowering women in the field. The dedicated Organising Committee will ensure the smooth performance of the event. By providing a collaborative platform, the workshop desires to not only advance individual careers but also collectively narrow the Gender gap in STEM( Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to inspire a new generation of women in Algebraic research on the African continent and beyond.
