The department was established to provide high quality engineering research and training in Agricultural Mechanization, Irrigation and processing of farm produce.
Our department is dedicated to incorporating agricultural engineering principles in design and technology to improve on agricultural production, storage and processing on the farm to do a job in a better way to improve productivity. The programs are unique and innovative, addressing industry and human needs for food, water and energy.
The department is involved in various research activities in Irrigation, processing technologies for farm produce and developing appropriate equipment for farm use. We are involved with various farmer groups, non-government organisations and government bodies.
Our department is devoted to giving students an outstanding engineering education through the following programs accredited by National Council of Higher Education;
These programs have produced graduates who are highly demanded in government agencies, consulting firms, Industry, Entrepreneurial start up, and so on. Our alumni are found throughout the country as evidence on the strength of the department. The alumni are a source of inspiration for new graduates and a critical source of information from the real professional world.
We want to welcome you to our department and feel free to contact us for more information.
