The recent temporary Webometrics rankings based on Google Scholar Citations (GSC) institutional profiles have been released, with the consideration of over 5,600 institutions having more than 1,000 citations between, January 1st-20th, 2024, Busitema University

Currently underway at the Faculty of Science and Education is a pivotal meeting centered around the theme of the "Curriculum Design and Implementation Workshop." The event serves as a platform for educators and stakeholders to collaboratively engage in discussions and activities aimed at enhancing the process of curriculum development and implementation within the academic realm. This workshop underscores the commitment of the faculty to continually refine and elevate the educational experience for students through thoughtful and effective curriculum design.

The theme of the conference, "Digitalisation for Inclusive Education, Research and Innovation," guided the budget estimates, highlighting the university's commitment to leveraging technology to enhance its academic programs. The budget is expected to support the university's efforts to provide inclusive education, research, and innovation opportunities to its students and faculty.

The Academic Registrar, Dr. Liliana Gimuguni Nabaasa, is currently attending the annual meeting of the Association of African Universities in Accra, Ghana. During the event, Dr. Nabaasa was recognized for her participation and received a certificate of recognition from the Association. As an esteemed member of the academic community, Dr. Nabaasa's attendance at this important gathering highlights her commitment to advancing education in Africa. Her recognition by the Association of African Universities is a testament to her dedication and hard work in the field of academia.

The terms of the Deans in the Faculty of Agriculture & Animal Science, Faculty of Science and Education, and Deputy Dean and Dean in the Faculty of Health Science will soon expire.

Day two of Busitema University's FY 2023/24 Management Retreat concluded on a positive note, as the institution's leadership and key stakeholders gathered to deliberate on budgeting strategies in the backdrop of an extremely limited budget environment. The retreat has been ongoing at the idyllic Paradise Hotel on the Nile in Jinja, Uganda.

Busitema University marked a significant milestone today as it successfully concluded day one of its annual Management Retreat for the fiscal year 2023/24. The retreat is being held at the prestigious Paradise Hotel on the Nile in Jinja, Uganda, and is focusing on the theme of "Budget Strategy For Financial Year 2024/25."

Staff and Students of Busitema University had a fruitful trainning with IEEE Hardware Programming Hackathon Uganda 2023 where they were involved in programming of hardware and the event was merged with IEEE CASS Student Design Competition. The IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) Student Design Competition is a worldwide competition where undergraduate students were to suggest and execute projects on Electrical engineering and related areas. The focus was on finding a solution to a real-life problem based on circuits and systems.
